Blue Suede® Blueberry is a four season landscape beauty. It can be used in edible landscapes, but can also be combined with other acid-loving shrubs such as azaleas, camellias and hollies. Blue Suede requires loose acid soil rich in organic matter. Blue Suede flowers and fruits in full sun, but can tolerate partial shade. Because it is self-fertile it also works well in containers on the patio or deck. Since blueberries have few insect or disease problems they can be grown pesticide free. Mulch blueberries with pine straw, compost or other organic matter to help hold moisture and cut down on weeds.

· Dig a planting hole twice as large as the root ball.
· Remove plant from container and place in planting hole.
· Level top of root ball with the ground.
· Backfill.
· Water.
· Mulch.
· Keep moist until established.

Blueberries are very low maintenance plants. If pruning is needed, it should be done after fruiting. Remove old stems and weak branches to encourage heavy fruiting.
