The Dothan Area Botanical Gardens was founded in 1990 and consists of 50 acres of cultivated gardens, nature trails and undeveloped, wooded landscape in southeast Alabama. The DABG seeks to preserve the native plants of the area with an attractive balance of traditional botanical garden elements. It is committed to the conservation of natural resources for future generations by providing opportunities to the public for beauty, education and research.

We are very pleased to be included in the new front gardens of the Georgia Governor's Mansion. These gardens were put in during the late summer of 2005. The Governor's Mansion is located at 391 West Paces Ferry Rd. NW. Public tours are conducted throughout the year on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. You must call (404) 261-1776 for reservations, regardless of group size.
