Hot Lips® Trumpet Vine is an excellent addition to any garden. Best grown in full sun it will tolerate partial shade. This climbing vine performs best on support or fencing growing up to 10' high x 15' wide. It can be used as a specimen plant, espalier, a screen on a fence or climbing over an arbor. Hot Lips® Trumpet Vine prefers moist, well-drained, soil, however, once established it is very drought tolerant. When planting, condition the soil with plenty of organic matter. Mulch after planting to maintain moisture in the soil.
· Dig a planting hole twice as large as the root ball.
· Remove plant from container and place in planting hole.
· Level top of root ball with the ground.
· Backfill.
· Water.
· Mulch.
· Keep moist until established.


Pruning is best following summer flowering. Prune to develop or maintain a desired shape or size.


Hot Lips® Trumpet Vine is a hummingbird magnet bringing these jewelled beauties to the garden. It also attracts butterflies. Trained on an arbor, Hot Lips® creates a great shady retreat. The bright reddish-orange flowers are larger than the native species. Its interesting exfoliating bark adds winter interest.
