A lush, dark blue-green variety with mounding, cascading, layered branching for borders or mass plantings. Very heat and drought-tolerant. Small maroon-red flowers bloom from late January through March. Evergreen replacement for hollies, laurels, junipers, and ligustrum.

Plant distylium on a gentle slope instead of low-growing juniper for a long-lasting, trouble-free flow of evergreen foliage in the garden all year long.
