Vintage Charm®

Abelia

Fill the summer garden with clouds of highly scented white flowers. Vintage Charm® Abelia reinvents a classic favorite in a more compact form with an unbelievable flowering display. With more flowers clusters per branch, this fragrant abelia turns into a billowing mass of white blooms in early summer. They last and last, aging to pink, and finally a light parchment tan. Holds its leaves well in late summer heat; mostly deciduous in winter. All the hardiness and low maintenance qualities you'd expect from abelia, including deer, drought, and pest-resistance. Its medium-sized growth habit, approximately 4 feet tall by 6 feet wide, minimizes pruning chores, too.

    In the Garden

Versatile abelias perform so well in the landscape, they are practically maintenance free. Many varieties are fragrant and our selections are long-flowering from summer into fall. They are semi-decidous in the South and will retain most of their foliage during winter.

Abelias love the sun!  They flower best and show off their often colorful foliage in full sun. But they also tolerate partial shade. They are frost, drought and heat-tolerant as well as deer-resistant!  Beautiful in large containers, small gardens, along pathways and in groups. Adorn the garden with these truly special plants that add dependable blooms and attractive foliage to the view!
